Abdul Sattar Edhi (1928 – 2016), A Legendary Pakistani social worker, one of the greatest humanitarians and Chairman of Edhi Foundation has passed away on Friday night in Karachi – Pakistan at the age of 88.
It is indeed a great loss of humanity and a saddest day for the people of Pakistan. He dedicated his whole life for helping others and founded country’s largest welfare organization known as “Edhi Foundation”.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said in a condolence statement, “We have lost a great servant of humanity. He was the real manifestation of love for those who were socially vulnerable, impoverished, helpless and poor. This loss is irreparable for the people of Pakistan.”
May his soul rest in peace and May Allah Almighty Bless him the highest rank in Jannat-ul-Firdous (Ameen).
