Benefits of Fruits.

Fruit is a very important and healthy food. Kids love some fruit because of their taste. Some fruit colors like strawberry attract kids. We all know fruits have many benefits. They are goods source of many vitamins and minerals. I just then thought to find out about benefits of different fruits and share them with all of you.

Kiwi Fruit
The vitamin C content in kiwi fruit is twice than an orange. It contains as much potassium as a banana. It is also a good source of potassium; magnesium, vitamin A & E. Kiwi fruit can help prevent wheezing, especially in children and also are good to prevent asthma and colon cancer.

Apple
We all have heard that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.  It is a good source of fiber, fructose and flavonoids.  Apple helps to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and colon cancer.

Orange
Oranges are excellent source of vitamin C. An orange also provides good fiber, vitamin A & B, Folic acid, amino acid, iodine and iron. Eating orange prevents kidney stones, lowers cholesterol level and reduces risk of colon cancer.

Strawberry
Strawberry is an all time favorite. The dietary fiber in it keeps digestive system regular. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory power of strawberries helps to fight against cancer.  Other benefits of eating strawberries are that it lowers blood pressure, helps in bone building and is good for eyes.

Watermelon
Watermelon is the coolest thirst quencher.  Everyone loves to have watermelon in summer.  It is an excellent source of Vitamin A, C and E. All these vitamins help to keep eyes, teeth and gums healthy. They also help to strengthen immunity.

Guava
The award of vitamin C should go to guava. Studies have shown that a regular intake of vitamin C helps the body to fight against infections. This fruit is also rich in fiber which helps prevent constipation. Guava can also help improve our skin texture.

Banana
Banana is one of the highest natural sources of vitamin B6. Vitamin b6 is essential for antibody production and maintains a healthy immune system. Banana is also rich in fiber and thus helps to control diarrhea. Banana is also good for bones, kidneys and heart because it contains potassium.

Grapes are rich source of many vitamins and minerals including potassium, magnesium, iron and calcium. Many studies have shown that grapes are good for heart diseases and asthma. It also contains caffeic acid, a cancer fighting substance.
