Noble Peace Prize won jointly by a Pakistani child education activist Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian child rights campaigner. Malala is the youngest winner of Noble Peace Prize at the age of 17 and she will also be the 16th female winner to ever receive this award.
The Nobel committee said it was an “important point for a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani, to join in a common struggle for education and against extremism”.
At this memorable event, Malala said she feel “honoured, more powerful and courageous”.
Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi both will jointly receive their award on December 10 in Oslo, Norway. Besides prize money of eight million Swedish krona (almost £690,000), Nobel laureates receive a gold medal and a diploma.
